Vintage Apron

Here is a story of a vintage apron bought at a garage sale for fifty cents. Let it inspire you and your apron creating dreams.

I bought this at a garage sale for fifty cents. I will be giving it to Pam Hall, my grad school adviser, as a thank you gift. She uses them in her artwork.

I think it will be a grand use for it, as the woman from whom I purchased it said that it belonged to her mother, and there is evidence that it was well used, as it has been mended.

Bon Appetit Apron

Bon Appetit Apron

Here is a fun apron from Indygo Junction.

Another in the Indygo Junction Bon Apetit apron pattern. Also – again, a Kaffe Fasset fabric. I lined the top with a deep green poplin which is a nice contrast to the front.

Apron and Pot holder

This is a photo of a finished apron and pot holder. “Clicky the Moose” apparently made this apron for a “fall sassy apron swap”. What a great idea! Make a pot holder or oven mitt to match your apron!

This is the apron and pot holder I made for my partner in the Fall session of the Sassy Apron Swap. My partner didn’t want a holiday specific apron, so I thought the red and cream paisley would be nice. The pot holder is made from the same fabrics and I “quilted” around the paisley pattern to give it some texture and sturdiness.
