Fabric for Four Corners Apron
The Dreaming of Quilts blog talks about choosing some fabrics, including Halloween fabrics, to use with the Vanilla House Designs’ Four Corners Apron pattern.
We found some cute fabric to make the Four Corners Apron by Vanilla House designs. I can’t wait and I better get on making mine because it’s Halloween fabric! Guess which fabric is going to be the outer edge and which is going to be the inside.

Secrets Unleashed
MJ’s Sputterings wrote a nice blog post about sewing Great American Aprons and Four Corners Apron, both patterns from Vanilla House Designs. She has nice pictures of the aprons she made, and she tells about how easy they were to make. Here is an excerpt from her blog post:
As I had lamented in an earlier post about getting a vintage apron that was too short and small for me and considering aprons are all the rage currently, I decided to make her an apron. Gulp! I haven’t sewn an article of clothing since Grade 9!

Apron and Pot holder
This is a photo of a finished apron and pot holder. “Clicky the Moose” apparently made this apron for a “fall sassy apron swap”. What a great idea! Make a pot holder or oven mitt to match your apron!
This is the apron and pot holder I made for my partner in the Fall session of the Sassy Apron Swap. My partner didn’t want a holiday specific apron, so I thought the red and cream paisley would be nice. The pot holder is made from the same fabrics and I “quilted” around the paisley pattern to give it some texture and sturdiness.
